Resolve to Attend a CPL Program in 2019
The Concord Public Library, thanks in part to the Concord Public Library Foundation, offers a plethora of programming available to patrons. Here is just as sampling of what’s coming up:
— Harry Potter STEAM team on Wednesday January 16th at 4PM (school age program): Make your own magic wand that lights up (with the help of electronics) and a broomstick. Learn how to create a glow in the dark Marauder’s Map and experiment with a dry ice crystal ball. Try wizard-friendly Butterbeer. Dressing up is highly encouraged! Registration is required. Sign up via the library’s website.
— Taking Care of Mom and Dad: The Aging Process on Tuesday, January 22nd from 12 to 1: Join Debra Desrosiers, Visiting Angels, as she talks about the physical, financial, cognitive and other common issues of aging people. You will learn about planning for reality as well as your options at any age. A City of Concord Wellness Program, open to the public.
— The New Hampshire Ukeladies on Wednesday January 30th at 6PM: a fun group of ukulele-playing ladies who love to play and sing and share their music. John Chouinard and the NH Ukeladies delight audiences with their versions of standards and hits. Come to the islands for a night! Tropical prints encouraged! (Snow date: Wednesday February 6th at 6pm).
— Beat the Librarians Trivia Night on Thursday, January 24th at 7PM at New England’s Tap House Grille in Hooksett: create a team and test your knowledge against a group of librarians, made up of staff from the Baker Free Library, Concord Public Library, and Hooksett Public Library. Prizes for the winners!
