September is National Library Card Month!

Each year during September, New Hampshire libraries compete to sign up the highest percentage of new library patrons and the winner gets to keep the granite state trophy.

Help us lure the trophy back to Concord by encouraging friends, family members, neighbors and colleagues to join the library!

A library card is free for residents of Concord or Penacook, teachers in area schools, and local business-owners. A Concord Public Library card grants you access to everything the main library has to offer — not only books, but thousands of movies, audiobooks, and CDs, as well as magazines, newspapers, computers and laptops, museum passes, databases, streaming services, and even use of our telescope.

The winning library’s name will be engraved on the Granite State trophy, which rotates each year from one winning library to the next.

How can you help? Renew your existing library card, and encourage others to register! Library card applications are available both in the library and online.
